Playback
As every year comes to a close, we find ourselves revisiting and reliving moments that passed. Instagram's take comes in the form of a new feature called Playback. It curates 10 Stories for each user, but allows them to edit, add or remove Stories from the Playback.
At Hueso we love challenges. The job was to make an abstract image that could portray the concept of Looking Back, Throwback or Playback of 2021. It had to be static and within Instagram's ongoing Visual Guidelines.
Sometimes the simplest of ideas is the one that sees the end of the journey. Think of your year as a deck of cards, in this case Stories. You are presented with 10 cards, you can re-order them, you can pick another or maybe loose some. The execution needed to be warm but forward looking, soft and un-intrusive.
